Going to camera in summer 2024 HOW DARE YOU is our immediate follow-up to King Baby. This film (that we absolutely adore) is about a guy named Prince who buys a home for him and his queer friends in the countryside where they can live isolated but happy. When the group starts behaving like the conservative Hart family who died in the house, their identities are under threat and so are their lives. 

Someone asked us ‘What makes this film so urgent?’ and we listed a million things! But distilled that into this answer: LGBTQIA+ rights are currently at the forefront of western politics, with queer lives and freedoms being used as political collateral around the globe. In the US we are seeing a wave of legislation that directly targets this community in a bid to roll back basic human rights and create conditions in many states where being trans or gay becomes untenable. Whilst their identities are being dissected, this marginalized group is often left voiceless. How Dare You promises to occupy a currently empty space in the creative landscape of this urgent issue. The horror genre offers up a particularly interesting way to explore universal themes reflecting what is truly scary about the times we live in. In the way that Stepford Wives engaged with feminism and women’s rights (or lack of) and Get Out satirized racism and exploitation, HOW DARE YOU promises to be the first film of its kind to examine queer erasure through darkly comic horror.
